FFL TRANSFER OVERVIEW

A Straightforward Transfer Process

The exact requirements depend on the transaction and applicable law, but an FFL transfer generally follows these stages.

Dealer Coordination

The selling and receiving licensed dealers coordinate the eligible transfer and required license information.

Shipment & Receipt

The eligible firearm is shipped to and received by Jackson Arms through the applicable licensed-dealer process.

Customer Notification

The customer is contacted after the transfer has been received and processed for the next required steps.

Paperwork & Pickup

Required identification, paperwork, eligibility checks, and dealer procedures must be completed before release.

BEFORE YOU VISIT

Identification & Transfer Requirements

Customers must satisfy all applicable federal, state, and local eligibility requirements before taking possession of a firearm.

Bring valid, unexpired government-issued photo identification showing your current residential address.

Complete all required federal and dealer transfer documentation.

Complete any required background check or provide qualifying documentation where permitted by law.

The person completing the paperwork must be the lawful purchaser and intended recipient.
